Joe Lio, a composer, conductor, music educator, born in China. He originally started music training on the piano. After several years of piano study, he became interested in learning composition. With a background in choral conducting, he started his composing career with choral music. Since then, his composition has also expanded to piano music, chamber music and symphonic music. He earned the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts from the China Conservatory of Music. After this, he became a lecturer and tutor for master's students at the China Conservatory of Music.
